An open heart is a beautiful thing. It is a heart that is able to give and receive, to love and be loved, fully and unconditionally. Unfortunately, many of us are walking around with hearts that are not fully open. We have closed our hearts due to past pain, disappointments, and rejection. We keep our hearts closed by not healing our hurts and by coddling rather than releasing our deep anger.

Having a closed heart only hurts us in the long run. However, It affects our ability to feel. It shuts down our creativity and most importantly, it blocks us from being able to have fully positive, loving relationships with others. With a closed heart, someone might be there for you, offering unconditional love, and you would not be able to fully feel it or accept it.
